The universe is a pretty big place. If it’s just us, seems like an awful waste of space.”

Carl Sagan

Ever since I was a kid I was interested in the stars and planets. I was lucky enough to see the 1999 total solar eclips in Belgium. At the age of 12 I joined a local public observatory and I have been a member since. Due to the interest in science and technology I graduated in 2013 with a Masters Degree in Engineering, Electronics - ICT. I started working at Antwerp Space as a development engineer for satellite telecommunication. I joined the development team for the Galileo Computer network and developed electronics for the ISS and Exomars 2022. In 2020 I had the opportunity to start a PhD research project where I am developing an integrated optical dimensional metrology system for an LMD 3D printer.
